No Time To Wait - Faster Rev. A Sprint Mobile Broadband Expands in the Empire State

Don't like to wait? No problem, customers in various locations in New York State can now do more with wireless thanks to a faster mobile broadband network from Sprint.

Sprint Mobile Broadband with EV-DO Revision (Rev.) A technology, combined with a wide variety of EV-DO Rev. A-capable devices, allow customers to send and receive email with large file attachments, access the Internet in seconds and enjoy streaming video and other real-time applications, as well as location-based solutions, on the go.

Currently, Sprint Mobile Broadband is available throughout New York State in areas including Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. Recently, Sprint expanded EV-DO Rev. A coverage in the following areas:

Utica
City of Utica, New Hartford, Whitesboro, Rome, Clinton, Oneida Castle, Frankfort, Ilion, Mohawk and Herkimer

Watertown
City of Watertown, Fort Drum, Lowville, Theresa, Philadelphia, La Fargeville, Brownville, Carthage, Alexandria Bay, Potsdam, Canton, Pulaski, and Parish

Ithaca
City of Ithaca, Cayuga Heights, South Hill, Dryden, Jacksonville and Lansing

Elmira
City of Elmira, Southport, Corning, Wellsburg, Waverly and Owego

Lake Placid

Lake Placid Village, Saranac Lake, Whiteface Mountain and North Elba

Glens Falls

City of Glens Falls, West Glens Falls, South Glens Falls, Hudson Falls, Village of Lake George, Diamond Point and Katskill Bay

Plattsburgh

City of Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh West, Peru, Beekmantown and Champlain


"With the expansion of EV-DO Rev. A network capabilities in New York State Sprint customers in the area can experience the benefits of SprintSpeed," said Karen Paletta, area vice president for Sprint. "In addition to the $9.1 million that Sprint spent in Central New York in 2006, Sprint expects to invest more than $7 billion this year to further enhance its networks and meet the demand for extensive mobile broadband coverage across the nation."
