Cool iPhone 3G now official Nothing Special

Today at WWDC 2008 Apple announced as expected the 3G iPhone.
The basic updates from the first generation iPhone is the 3G with HSPDA, GPS and... thats it!

Everything else is the same, same great Multi-Touch screen, same specs, wait a minute, I forgot its a bit thicker!

So lets summarize:
  • You are getting triband 3G/HSPDA (850, 1900, 2100 MHz) No T-Mobile love sorry and QuadBand GSM
  • You are getting GPS with A-GPS
  • Thicker size
  • You DO NOT get front camera for Video Calls (it reminds me the Nokia 6630 at year 2004!)
  • Still NO MMS
  • NO A2DP for stereo Bluetooth
  • No Video Recording
  • No Copy/Paste
  • Same 2MegaPixels camera
  • It is still 16GB and not 32GB as many was expected
iPhone 3G will be available on July 11th starting at $199 in 22 countries first, with 48 more countries following shortly after, making it available in a total of 70 countries across the globe.

1) It was announced here that the iPhone would be priced at $199-$399.
2) The 8GB = $199; 16GB = $299
3) There was no official announcement of the 32GB iPhone
4) But considering that the iPhone will be prices up to $399, can we assume that they forgot to mention the 32GB version?

I really doubt they'd simply forget to announce a product.

This isn't the New York Times. This isn't even Engadget. It's a blog, which seems to include an personal slant to tech news...Just my 2 cents.

The article includes the announcement from Apple regarding the 3G iPhone and it just covers the reality with No personal opinion. It has personal comments but that is all about it.

The iPhone 3G does get 3G and GPS but many stuff are missing just like the first generation of iPhone.
  • You DO NOT get front camera for Video Calls
  • Still NO MMS
  • NO A2DP for stereo Bluetooth
  • No Video Recording
  • No Copy/Paste
  • Same 2MegaPixels camera
  • Bluetooth limitations
These stuff are reality, are the specifications of the new 3G iPhone and are not a personal opinion. For the new price iPhone got, these specs are ok but for sure is not the ultimate machine.

It is not a secret that iPhone lacks a lot of stuff regarding the competition.
In matter of fact even Gizmodo seems to agree with us.
